Civilian Committee
The squadron has a very active civilian committee and always welcome new members to help support its activities. It is not necessary to be a parent to join the committee; if you have an interest in supporting an active youth organisation then being a member of squadron civilian committee can be an ideal way of fulfilling this interest.
The committee meets at least 6 times a year and has 3 elected officers, a chairperson, secretary and treasurer.
The role of the committee is to support the squadron in fund raising activities to allow it to invest in equipment and events that enhance the experience of the cadets. It is important to note that the organisation is not fully funded by Royal Air Force and therefore it is necessary to raise and manage effectively the extra funds.
For the committee to work effectively it has built a strong spirit of partnership between itself and the squadron staff and works actively wherever it can help out.
